We are proud to announce that we signed a lease last week with Knickerbocker Deli in 421 Wakara Way in Salt Lake. Knickerbocker is a local company that specializes in the business park niche. The owner is very hands-on, and excited to raise the standards for lunch in the University of Utah Research Park.
They were represented by Parker Hilton from the local CBRE office, who was great to work with.
The new deli will be open mid-August. We hope to see everyone there!
Friday June 26th, Marketstar’s server-room cooling went down at the Jordan gateway III in the middle of our early summer heat wave. Their own facilities people are 90 minutes away in Ogden. Rocky Mountain Mechanical, the regular mechanics for the building, responded pretty quickly, but had to rearrange a list of projects to free up a technician, meanwhile the room started heating up. I stopped at Harbor Freight and picked up a 3200 CFM Shop fan (On top of the sale price, they threw in the 1-year warranty and a pack of screw drivers , for free, even though I hadn’t brought my coupons. I love that place!). Got the fan in the server room bringing in cool air, used their smaller fan to create exhaust out of the room, dropped the temperature noticeably, and finished up before RMM called to say they had freed up a technician. Not bad for first thing in the morning!
The room stayed cool enough that they were able to stay in business until RMM was able to replace the bad compressor on the roof. Way to go team!
